I first met bonnie

through the magic of social media. We both swam in the same circles in the local photography meet-up groups and somehow started following each other. She was a budding photographer and dancer before cancer interrupted. It was a tough fight, one that she thankfully won and she graciously allowed me to capture her in a very vulnerable place being bald, external scars healing, internal scars forming, chemo port still surgically implanted in her chest with sticky medical tape residue still clinging. I've had such a blast watching her recover, sharpening her photo skills, hair growing back nicely and in various colors. She's asked me back to photograph her family and again to photograph her then boyfriend Brandyn in the city of Atlanta as the world started opening back up again after Covid. Brandyn popped the question on NYE of this year and I was honored to have been asked to document their engagement photos and soon their wedding. So on a very cold and windy day a in Madison, WI a few months back, we met up and shot around the city for a little while. Here are some of my favorites from that day.
